I'm incredibly proud of our team's performance at the recent competition. The City of Salford's Free Combination team secured the silver medal, missing the top spot by just 1.8667 points behind Reading, which is a testament to their hard work and dedication.
Aimee Lawrence, Alicia Cox, Amy Outram, Ellie Alder, Lauren Redfern, Libby Taylor, Mollie McDermott, Prudence Hubbard, Rhiannon Woodhouse, Zoe Taylor, and Isabella Boyle put forth a stellar effort, achieving a remarkable score of 70.6333. Their synergy and execution were simply outstanding.
Additionally, our club shone in the Technical Duet category, where Libby Taylor and Lawrence took home the senior silver medal. Their scores were impressive across the board: 20.2000 in execution, 20.3000 in artistic impression, and 27.4785 for elements, culminating in an overall score of 67.9785.
It's also worth mentioning our competitors in this event. The City of Leeds finished third with a solid team performance, scoring 65.2333. Meanwhile, Rushmoor clinched the gold in the Technical Mixed Duet with Ranjuo Tomblin and Maria Smith Fernandez leading the charge, supported by Alexandra Tomusyak.
Congratulations to all athletes involved for their exceptional achievements and for continuing to raise the bar in the sport. Let’s keep pushing forward, aiming higher at every chance we get.
